Missing – based on the short story by Ng Swee San
Missing is Ng Swee San’s elegant cry of childhood passion free from adult constraints. In director K. Rajagopal’s hands it becomes an indictment of the brittle walls we build to protect ourselves from the unknown, and sometimes from what we need. What if we broke down those walls? What if we never had to censor our love? Missing helps us appreciate those who are gone, and those who move effortlessly past the boundaries of our hearts.
Known for his award-winning work for the big screen, don't miss this opportunity to see K. Rajagopal bring his filmic eye to this theatrical adaptation.
The Page on Stage is a three-part series which brings popular Singapore literature to stage. The 2019 season features three short stories from the Balik Kampung series by Math Paper Press, which are adapted and directed by three top award-winning television writers and directors, lending their magic from the tube to the theatre!
Director: K.Rajagopal (independent film director, director of A Yellow Bird, currently available on Netflix)
Note: We will be starting Saturday's evening performance at 8.30pm, due to ongoing rehearsals for the National Day Parade. For more information on traffic advisory, please visit https://www.ndp.org.sg/traffic_advisory.html.
