Standing Through Time: The Arts House from the 1800s
Presented by The Arts House
Situated along the mouth of the Singapore River and in the heart of the Civic District, The Arts House is one of the few surviving neo-classical buildings that bear witness to Singapore’s colonial past.
Embark on this self-guided pictorial journey of its stories through maps, paintings and photographs. This exhibition weaves together two centuries of history, people, stories and events; from its construction in 1826, through to its evolving roles in Singapore's historical development, to its current role as a home of the arts.
