Note for Note: #SkinTones
Presented by The Arts House
MUSIC, LITERARY ARTS
Note for Note is a tête-à-tête between poet and musician. Collaborating both in form and content, these artists will take to the stage to perform original works. Much like successful fusion cuisine, there is a natural harmony between the rhythms of poetry and music. Musicians bring their own eclectic genres to the poets' table, resulting in a tasting palette that is rich with intertwined layers of meaning. In this upcoming edition, each pairing explores the theme of #skintones.
The featured pairings are Singapore Literature Prize winning poet, Joshua Ip with multi-faceted keyboardist Chok Kerong, award-winning slam poet, Stephanie Dogfoot with singer-songwriter, Zee Aura, and Australian spoken word artist, Will Beale with punk musician, Hafiz Bastard.
This performance is presented as part of Poetry with Music series by The Arts House.
