Internships at The Arts House

At The Arts House, interns are exposed to a unique and diverse learning experience that will accentuate the artistic and creative capacities of those who are keen to build a career in the arts industry in Singapore.

We offer three to six-month internships for polytechnic, college and university students.

Intern (CENTRE MANAGEMENT) – 6-month internship

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Social Media Marketing
  • Collate marketing information from tenants of GAC and AAC
  • Plot out social media posts/schedule
  • Create bi-weekly Electronic Direct Mailers (EDMs) and bi-monthly centre posters.
  • Updating and maintaining of GAC’s and AAC’s website and social media platforms
  • Assist in place-making events
  • Assist CMs with any other ad-hoc duties

 

Intern (COMMUNICATIONS) – 6-month internship

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Provide administrative support for processing invoices and Purchase Requests / Purchase Orders (PRs / POs)
  • Maintain media lists
  • Support Public Relations (PR) events such as media interviews, previews and escorts
  • Compilation of reports for government stakeholders
  • Assist with any other ad-hoc duties assigned by the Reporting Officer

 

SINGAPORE INTERNATIONAL FESTIVAL OF ARTS - INTERN (MARKETING) (7-MONTH INTERNSHIP)

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in managing the organisation’s websites including the regular revamp, maintenance and updating of contents to promote programmes and festivals
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of databases
  • Assist in the maintenance and digitalization of the festival’s archive materials
  • Assist in the gathering and analyzing of market intelligence and publicity avenues to extend reach
  • Assist in the development of social media content framework and promotional calendar including pre, during and post programmes ensuring consistency of message across all communications
  • Oversee onsite installations of publicity materials when needed
  • Basic office administration including but not limited to filing, archival of collaterals and other administrative duties
  • Work closely with internal departments and external vendors to ensure programmes/ festivals success

 

DIGITAL DESIGN INTERN (6-MONTH INTERNSHIP)

Responsibilities & Duties: 

  • Assist in the development of graphics for social media and other digital uses
  • Assist in managing the organisation’s websites including the regular revamp, maintenance and updating of contents to promote the festival
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of databases
  • Editing of existing productions’ video clips for publicity
  • Oversee onsite installations of publicity materials when needed
  • Execution of festival activations for brand engagement
  • Basic office administration including but not limited to filing, archival of collaterals and other administrative duties
  • Work closely with internal departments and external vendors to ensure programmes/festivals' success
  • To carry out and assume any other duties and responsibilities as and when assigned by the AHL Management.

Position Requirements:

  • Minimum Final Year students of Design, Marketing, Arts Management courses or equivalent
  • Equipped with design and video editing skills and knowledge of programs such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Dreamweaver, InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop
  • Possess good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Computer literacy and knowledge of basic Microsoft Office
  • Proficient in social media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Youtube
  • Strong team player with good organisation skills
  • Possess good oral and computer presentation skills
  • Able to commit to a minimum of six months of internship

 

MARKETING INTERN (MARKETING) (6-MONTH INTERNSHIP)

Responsibilities & Duties:

  • Assist in managing the organisation’s websites including the regular revamp, maintenance and updating of contents to promote programmes and festivals
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of databases
  • Assist in the maintenance and digitalization of archive materials
  • Assist in the gathering and analysing of market intelligence and publicity avenues to extend reach
  • Assist in the development of social media content framework and promotional calendar including pre, during and post programmes ensuring consistency of message across all communications
  • Oversee onsite installations of publicity materials when needed
  • Basic office administration including but not limited to filing, archival of collaterals and other administrative duties
  • Work closely with internal departments and external vendors to ensure programmes/festivals' success
  • To carry out and assume any other duties and responsibilities as and when assigned by the AHL Management.

Position Requirements:

  • Minimum Final Year University students of Marketing, Business Admin, Communications, Arts Management courses or equivalent.
